Posted 21 Aug The other option is to pony up for the new Iworks 08 which has Excel compatability. I switched to all MAC only stuff a few weeks ago and am delighted so far. I just don't get the constant wind-ups of the past and programmes are much easier to install. The MAC also seems happy with me having 15 programmes open at once which is normal for me. Plus I have SuperDuper as my backup programme to a couple of external hard disks which is loooooooooooaaaaaads better than Windows XP.
So backups were an all-nighter when I remembered. Now I can set SuperDuper to do a "Smart" backup which only updates changed files via firewire so its 15 minutes max , and it creates a bootable disk - so if the nightmare happens I just boot from any other MAC and am back in business.
There are gazillions of free unzippers on the interweb.
